After years of hard work and perseverance, the Kapuso actor-host Alden Richards and his family now have house they can proudly called their own.
The two-storey house is located at an exclusive village in Laguna. The actor bought the house to its original owner. It took about 10 months to renovate the property that sits on a 300 sqm lot. He worked with an architect and an interior designer to make few adjustments that fits his preferences and he personally chose the furnitures. Alden admits that the house can still be improved. But for now, the actor is sharing the joy and comfort having his own place together with his grandparents who also have their own room.
The facade of the house is a sight to see. Even Maine Mendoza, Alden's love tandem took a visit at his grandiose home. The home's structure will surely catch the attention of passersby with its sturdy posts, bricks, concrete tiles as roofing and the tower-like structure.
Neutral and light colors were chosen in the dining and living room. Eight people can eat comfortably at the dining area. The table was customized one which features a glass table top and a solid wood base. What's more striking is the illuminating wire chandelier that looks like wooden twigs. The sliding doors found beside the dining area leads to the garden. There is also a mini bar right below the staircase.
Neutral colored and sheer curtains were used to dress up the windows allowing in natural light. The living area has a cozy off-white couch, fluffy pillows and a wooden table topped with glass.
The kitchen is still in a work progress. The walls are painted light which complements the dark wooden cabinets and cupboards. The counter top holds a variety of small appliances and also have enough space for meal preparation. Alden plans to work on the overhead cabinets because he wanted it to be spacious and filled with storage options.
The family den is located at the second floor where keepsakes are on display. This is the area where the family also bonds over movies, TV shows and video games with two comfy sofas and a bunch of pillows.
Second Floor Veranda
The veranda located directly above the house entrance provides a perfect place of fresh air and a calming view of the outdoors. It has a hanging chair perfect for lounging, two cushioned seats and a table for snacks and refreshments.
Alden's bedroom is furnished with a cozy bed, a lazy boy recliner and tons of space for his superhero collection. He opted to leave the walls bare for a cleaner look. And he plans to display more collections including Avengers' collector pieces.
First Floor Veranda and Garden
Access to this veranda and garden is thru the sliding door near the dining area or thru the main gate's entrance. It is furnished with cushioned seats and a coffee table. It is a perfect spot to relax in the afternoon while enjoying merienda with a view.
