Our spine is the backbone of our body that keeps it together. A lot of people are experiencing lower back pain during their lifetime. This is considered to be the leading cause of disability of people.

Here's a list of everyday activities that you should avoid doing in order to prevent back pain:
1. Do not lift heavy objects
You should avoid lifting heavy objects because that can cause serious problems for your back if you do it incorrectly.
Remember: When lifting heavy objects, squat and then pick up the object. Bending at the waist can cause injury.
2. Improper Stretching
Doing yoga poses or other forms of stretching can lead to back pain when it's done incorrectly. When you do improper stretching, you are putting too much pressure on the muscles which might lead to injury.
3. Sleeping on very soft mattresses
If you are sleeping on very soft mattresses, expect to have back pain. This is due to the shift of the spine that the mattress is causing that leads to the stress of the muscles and ligaments.
4. Poor Posture
Make sure you're implementing good posture whenever you are sitting, watching T.V. or texting on your phone. Hunching your back puts pressure on the back of the spine.
5. Driving On Uneven Roads
Did you know that driving on rough and uneven roads puts pressure on you back especially if you're driving for long periods of time? Always take a break when traveling a long distance to ease the pressure on your spine.
6. Washing Up
When washing up, we usually stand in a half-bent position with strained arms and back. Because of this, our intervertebral discs quickly wear out which leads to pains between the shoulder blades.
7. Carrying heavy bags
If you are constantly carrying heavy bags, purse or backpacks, you should know hat you are most likely to have back problems. This is due to the pressure it causes on the shoulders, arms and back which lead to the imbalance of the body.
