Everyone of us had experience a nightmare. These are lengthy, elaborate dreams with imagery that evokes fear, anxiety, or sadness. Sometimes, the dreamer may wake up to avoid the perceived danger.
Though these dreams are not real and cannot harm you, they may still be upsetting. Nightmares can be remembered upon waking up, however they can also lead to difficulties returning to sleep.

This is a creepy type of nightmare where you feel as if you are being contacted by someone who is dead. This can be associated with the inability to let go of someone who passed away. Or it can also be linked with fear of the unknown and anxiety about personal illness.

This type of nightmare simply represents fear about their partner such as their spouse or significant other leaving them and being alone. It can also be caused by feelings of insecurity in a relationship where the individual feels as if they are not good enough for their partner.
3. BEING ATTACKED OR CHASED
Nightmares about being attacked or chased by a person, animal, or paranormal creatures are manifestations of being afraid of confrontation regarding something in your life. Dreaming of being chased is often a sign of being unable to confront difficult scenarios in your life or avoiding issues or a person.
4. FALLING
Dreaming of falling in your sleep is an indication of insecurities, instabilities, and anxieties in your personal life. It is about not being able to control yourself. These anxieties are often issues with relationships, career, money, and some kind of abuse.
5. BEING TRAPPED
This type of nightmare is experienced by individuals who are afraid of being stuck and unable to get out of their current situation. For example, financial problems, a dead end job, or a negative relationship they feel they cannot escape. Dreaming of being trapped can be a manifestation of fear of not being able to reach your potential due to circumstances.
6. WOUNDS OR INJURIES
People having nightmares about being injured or wounded is often caused by some feeling of weakness or vulnerability in their own lives. A dream that focuses on a wound can mean that something painful is being repressed.
7. BEING NAKED
Having dreams of being naked in public may relate to fear of being judged by other people. and revealing your true self. However, it ca also symbolize freedom or a need to be noticed.
