Baking soda is one of the few and cheap ingredients you can find in one's home. It may probably be just sitting in a corner waiting to be used, but did you know that this can also be used as an everyday beauty regimen?
Also known as sodium bicarbonate, baking soda can help regulate pH keeping a substance not to acidic nor alkaline. When it comes contact with an acidic or alkaline substance, it can naturally neutralize the pH.
Here are the amazing uses of baking soda as a beauty regiment you probably still don't know:
1. Natural deodorant
If you are looking for a deodorant that has no harsh chemicals, try mixing equal amount of water and baking soda in a container. Apply this to your underarm area to get rid of the odor. You can also place it in your feet to prevent the bad smell.
2. Removes bad breath
Baking soda can help freshen your breath because it can neutralize the odors in your mouth. Add 3-4 teaspoon of baking soda in a half glass of water. Swish it in your mouth, spit, and rinse.
3. Removes plaque from teeth
Baking soda is good at removing surface stains and makes your teeth appear whiter. You can dip your toothbrush with toothpaste in baking soda and brush it on your teeth for a minty, fresh feeling. However, use this with caution as frequent use of baking soda can damage your tooth enamel.
4. Use as a facial and body scrub
Baking soda works as a natural exfoliant. In order to get smooth skin, you should exfoliate at least once a week to remove dry skin and the d3ad skin cells. You can make a cheap facial and body scrub by adding 3 parts of baking soda to 1 part of water. Massage this in your skin in circular motion. Then wash with water.

- Add 3 tablespoon of baking soda in a small basin or tub with warm water. Stir it and soak your feet for 10 minutes. Then scrub with pumice stone.
